Timeglass Product Update, November 2

Here’s what we built the week of October 26–November 1, 2026.

Each Monday, we look back at the changes we shipped the week before. If something in your day is harder than it should be, let us know through Contact Support in Timeglass. Those conversations help us choose what to build.

Last week, we brought AI chat closer to the records you’re reviewing and made it clearer when project costs are incomplete. We also added quicker ways to move through your timesheet, more room for your work, and email invitations for referrals.

Ask questions with your work still in view

When you’re reviewing a project, you shouldn’t have to keep switching between its records and a separate AI conversation.

The Timeglass Chrome extension lets you open an AI chat beside your dashboard in Chrome’s split view. With a Timeglass connector set up in your AI service, you can ask about the project, person, client, or meeting you have open and keep the record visible while you read the answer.

The extension shares references to the open or selected records, rather than a live picture of everything on your dashboard. Opening the chat and connecting it to your Timeglass data are separate steps. Our Chrome extension guide walks through the setup.

See what’s missing from your project costs

A missing cost rate shouldn’t hide all the cost information you already have. It also shouldn’t make an incomplete number look final.

When some people’s rates are missing, the client view now shows the known delivery cost as a minimum and estimated profit as a maximum. For example, a cost shown as “$2,400+” means the actual cost may be higher; a profit shown as “≤$3,600” may fall once the remaining costs are included.

Timeglass explains whose cost rates are missing and which time has been left out, with a link to add the rates. The figures follow the people, projects, and dates you’ve selected. Where a calculation still isn’t available, you’ll see a dash with an explanation.

Move through your timesheet with fewer clicks

A busy day can leave you with a long list to review. A new control beside the date picker lets you collapse all the groups in your daily timesheet, then expand them again when you want the detail. Collapsed groups stay closed when the data refreshes.

We also fixed an issue with changes to the duration of an activity you’ve already submitted. After editing the duration, choose Resubmit to save the change. If that time was already accepted, the entry is marked “Updated since review” so your manager can check it again; the previously accepted total stays in place until they accept the update.

Make more room for the page you’re using

On the web app, you can now collapse the sidebar to a narrow row of navigation icons. Use the button beside the logo, or press ⌘B on Mac or Ctrl+B on Windows while you’re outside a text field.

The icons still take you directly to each section. Hover over the collapsed sidebar to reveal the full navigation, or pin it open again. Timeglass remembers your preference.

Invite another team directly from Refer & earn

Last week, we introduced referral rewards. This week, we made it easier to send an invitation and see what happens next.

Refer & earn now has its own page, where you can email an invitation directly or copy your personal referral link. You can also check whether a referred team has signed up and view its subscription and first-payment details.

If you know a team that spends too much time reconstructing its week, you can send them an invitation without leaving Timeglass.
