Getting started

How Timeglass works

The four-part flow from desktop capture to approved time.

Timeglass turns your normal desktop work into a draft timesheet. You keep working in your usual tools, then review the draft when it is ready. The flow has four parts.

1. Capture

The desktop app captures lightweight signals as you work: the active app and window, plus periodic screen snapshots. Meetings can be transcribed with your consent. Together, those signals show the task you were working on, the client or project it belongs to, and roughly how long it took.

2. Draft

Timeglass groups those signals into drafted time entries. Each draft has a client, project, duration, and plain-language description.

3. Review and release

Your day stays private until you review it. Confirm the draft in about a minute with Power review, adjust anything that’s off, and release it. No one sees it until you do.

4. Export and ask

Released time rolls up into projects and budgets. You can export it for payroll or billing, and your connected AI assistant can answer questions about the approved work record.

Common questions

Do I have to start a timer?

No. You work as usual and Timeglass drafts your time from the activity it captures.

Can anyone see my time before I do?

No. Your day is private until you review and release it.
