Import projects

Bring projects in from a spreadsheet, PDF, screenshot, or pasted rows.

If your project list already exists, import it and skip recreating every row. Timeglass reads a spreadsheet, PDF, screenshot, or pasted rows and shows proposed changes before anything is saved.

Start an import

  1. Open the importer
    On the Projects page, choose Import Projects.
  2. Add your source
    Drop a file, click to choose one, or paste copied rows. Spreadsheets, text, PDFs, and images are all supported.

Review the suggestions

Timeglass scans the input and groups its proposal into New Projects, Updated Projects, Existing Projects, and Not Importing. Every row is editable: fix the title or description, set a time target in hours, or match it to an existing project.

Apply

When it looks right, click Apply changes. You’ll get a summary of what was created, updated, and skipped.

Common questions

What file types can I import?

Spreadsheets (CSV, XLSX), text, PDFs, and images or screenshots. You can also paste copied rows directly.

Will it overwrite my existing projects?

No. Import proposes changes grouped as new, updated, existing, and not importing, and nothing is applied until you review and confirm.
