Activity categories

Group work types and keep report colors consistent.

Activity categories are the buckets Timeglass sorts work into. The same categories set the colors you see across projects and reporting.

What they’re for

Categories group work by type, so reports can show how much time went to design, meetings, development, admin, or any custom set you define.

Edit the set

In the category editor you can add, rename, and remove categories. Each has a name and an optional description.

Lock the set

Once your categories are settled, lock them so the set stops changing as new work comes in.

Colors

Each category carries a color that’s reused everywhere it appears, so the legend stays consistent across projects, team views, and the timeline.
