Meetings

Read a meeting report and transcript

Live transcripts, reports, action items, playback, downloads, and deletion.

Every recorded meeting gets a report, a full transcript, and an audio player, side by side on the meeting page.

Find a meeting

Select Meetings in the web app or the desktop app. Each meeting in the list shows its title, time, length, and attendees. A meeting keeps its own title when it has one. Otherwise Timeglass writes a short title from the conversation.

Follow a meeting live

A meeting in progress shows a Live badge and its transcript as it is recorded. New lines appear about a minute after they’re said. People Timeglass hasn’t recognized yet are grouped as Other speakers until the meeting ends.

When the meeting ends, the web app shows Meeting ended · preparing the report, and the desktop app says the report and final transcript will replace the live view shortly. The page then switches to the finished meeting.

Read the report

The report covers what was discussed, under a heading per topic, including the decisions reached and what is still open. Some lines carry a timestamp. Select one to play the meeting from that moment.

Check off action items

Action items appear under the report with their owner and due date when one was mentioned. Select the box beside an item to mark it done, in the web app or the desktop app. Everyone who can open the meeting sees the same checks.

If the report is rebuilt later, for example after a speaker is renamed, checks stay on any item whose wording didn’t change.

Use the transcript and player

  • Transcript: lines are grouped by speaker. Select any word to play from there, and the transcript highlights each word as it plays.
  • Clean wording: filler words and false starts are left out, so the transcript reads cleanly.
  • Speakers: each speaker shows their share of the talk time and a lane of when they spoke. Select a point in a lane to play from there.
  • Chapters: longer meetings are split into chapters in the player bar. Short or single-topic meetings may have none.

Download or delete a meeting

Select the download icon beside the meeting title to save Transcript (.txt), Transcript (.srt), or Meeting audio. The desktop app saves downloads to your Downloads folder.

To delete a meeting, select the trash icon beside its title and confirm. The web app also asks you to type I understand. Deleting permanently removes the report, transcript, audio, and participant records. Workspace admins, the meeting’s participants, and managers of its team can delete it once it has ended.
