Using the menu bar

Status, workspace switching, per-display recording, and controls.

Timeglass lives in your menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows). The icon shows your status and opens the app controls.

Status at a glance

The top line of the menu tells you what’s happening: Active, Idle, Paused, Recording Meeting, or a state that needs attention like Needs permissions or Needs authentication.

Controls

• Pause: pause for a set time or until you turn it back on.
• Workspace: switch which workspace you’re recording into.
• Recording N of M displays: include or exclude specific monitors.
• Go to Dashboard, Settings, Check for Updates, and Quit.
