Payment method required

What the message means, the grace period, and how to fix it.

A “Payment method required” email or message means Timeglass can’t bill your workspace yet. Add or update a payment method to keep your team’s time capture running.

Why you’re seeing it

  • Your free trial ended without a payment method on file.
  • A payment failed and your subscription is past due.
  • Your workspace needs a payment method on file to continue its subscription.

The 7-day grace period

You have 7 days from the start of the billing problem to fix it. During that time Timeglass keeps capturing, and the app tells you how many days are left. The workspace owner gets an email when the grace period starts, a reminder after 3 days, and a final email if capture is suspended.

After 7 days, data capture is suspended. The app shows Data Capture Suspended and the workspace stops capturing and processing new activity until you add a payment method.

Fix it

  1. Open Billing
Select Update Payment Method in the notice, or go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Add your card
Enter the payment details in the secure Stripe form.
  3. Back to work
Timeglass confirms with Payment method added. A paused trial resumes, and a past-due invoice is retried with the new method.

Common questions

I got an email saying my workspace needs a payment method. What do I do?

Open Settings → Billing in Timeglass and select Add payment method, or use the link in the email. You have 7 days from the start of the billing problem before data capture is suspended. Only owners and admins can add one.

What does Data Capture Suspended mean?

The grace period ended without a payment method, so the workspace stopped capturing and processing new activity. Add a payment method to resume.
